Going back to work. All is the same. Nothing new. However, the third morning we were all rushed into a conference room. The VP was there. The HR was there. Bad omen whenever the HR is involved. In a long face, the VP announced our GM is no longer with the company... Sounds deja-vu because last year in the very room we learned the fate of Mr. J and three other management changes. The Wacko was let go. The Tyrant was relocated. After months of waiting we finally got a new TL who was lovely, a bit too bubbly perhaps at times. The new GM was appointed almost at the same time. Unlike the Tyrant, who came to check upon us every hour, the new GM was a hermit, his face rarely shown. He probably sat at his corner crunching the numbers. So, guess what, it doesn't matter how long you've been serving the company. The upstairs got impatient. After 20 years in the company and 3 months into his new role, he was sacked. There goes the Wacko, the Tyrant, and the Hermit. Don't know who...
