Bumblebee on the pavement

While on the way back to office at noon, I noticed a bumblebee on the pavement. Perhaps he was tired, or perhaps reaching his life end. He was crawling around in circles, seemed lost and nervous. On his hind legs he carried two golden pollen balls. I used my door pass and scooped him up. I hoped he could stay still and allow me to cross the streets and park him into the flowering bushes. He became extremely nervous. He crawled to my arm, my chest, then landed on my neck. But all the time, I only felt a little bit of tingling. He didn't sting. While waiting for green light at an intersection, a passer-by must have noticed him on my collar. She brushed him off. He landed in the middle of the road. When traffic started to move, I couldn't rescue him again.

I am upset even now.
